Well, Birthday Bash over and it seems like everyone had a suitably epic time. I've not yet escaped Italy though as I'm now in Folgarida for half term. I keep meeting snowHeads, all over the place: it's rather fun, getting a window on the different ways everyone sees and interacts with the site/community. I've met loads of 'guests' who haven't registered (are we so scary?) and a fair few semi-regulars (who are now appropriately stickered up ). The funniest one was when a few of us were loitering outside an espresso stop above Arraba. A lady came past sporting a helmet already beautifully augmented by a couple of stickers. Assuming she was with the bash, I naturally said "hi" but when she turned around, I didn't know her. "Oh, hello" I said in my very be! st snowHeads friendly-voice, "you're a snowHead " but she still seemed a touch bemused... "I see the snowHeads stickers on your helmet", I explained.
"Oh" she said, "I borrowed this off a friend of mine who was here last year" (Her friend was indeed on the S7BB)
I wonder if she went home to register? If so, "Hi again and welcome to snowHeads!" if not, well, maybe it's true what they say and I am scarier on the outside than I think I am
