Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Toko Iron help

Myself and a friend have set about waxing the skis and board for our trip and his toko iron (used twice) started working then half way down his board started playing up.

Does anyone know what is going on here. When you crank the temp up the green light goes on then the red light flashes, then the red light stays solid and
the temp flicks between 27/28.

Is it broken, over heated ? Any ideas ?

Renry, My Toko iron has a default temp of 120 C (I think). To set it at a different temperature you have to move the temp dial three times. So that you can't change the default temp inadvertently. So try it without changing the temp after switch on. If you do want to change the temp move the dial three times.
