At a guess, crap.
My boyfiend rented the top level from skiset in ADH and they tried to palm him off with some god-awful pice of crap that should have been decomissioned 6 seasons ago. They maintained that was all they had! After a while they did produce the board that he had actually requested but only in 1 size which was far too short for him. He took it anyway as it was still better than the alternative.
There's a reason most snowboarders have their own kit; snowboard hire is no where near up to the standard of ski hire. Every holiday we've been on my boyfriend has had something not right abotu the set up; crap board, crap bindings, wrong length, board too narrow etc etc etc.

Another hire discount chain is alpinresorts.
They and skiset cover some of the same locations and some are unique to one or the other.

What kat.ryb, said - hire boards are a heap of poo-poo as a rule. Having said that, Ski Republic in 2Alpes do some reasonable kit, don't know if that applies to their shops in other resorts.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

If you can afford to, get your own boots. Makes a world of difference if you have boots that fit properly.

Beg, steal, borrow, money for birthday, christmas wharever it takes. As said above most people I know have had problems with hire boards, often the bindings being loose/breaking. There are some good bargains to be had if you search the web. Picked up a couple of excellent boards a couple of years ago for only £99, last seasons graphics apparently!

There are exceptions - if you can find a snowboard shop as opposed to big standard ski hire shop - maybe a burton centre or similar - must be something decent in morzine - not sure about les gets - worth a search to see if anyone can recommend the best option rather than going with crappy ski hire shop eh?
