hi..
just booked st johann austria for next weekend and took the lift pass bundle thomson sell.
after i hit the button (why always after) it occured to me that the pass might only be local anyone know offhand if this pass also covers kitzbuhel etc. or you have to upgrade.
going to give them a call tomorrow to double check. but thought a guru here might know..

Hi Mugen, going out to St Johann myself in a few weeks. Their is a local pass for St Johann it's self or the other one available is the Schneewinkel pass which covers a wider area, don;t think it covers Kitzbuhel though, I'm sure somebody will be along soon to let you know which pass you need.

yes thats the one i want as i really want to ski kitzbuhel but as was late booking there wasn't anything in kitz to go to and st johann looks a good base for kitz and ski welt.
looks like thomson are selling the local pass so will have to get upgraded to the allstar card.

Yes, that's how I would understand it.
You do realise that next weekend, 21-22 Jan, is the Hahnenkamm race weekend, so Kitzbühel will be hoaching with folk and traffic will be terrible? To ski the area yourself, you would have to access it from the Kirchberg or Jochberg lifts (I wrote a little more about Kitz in Hahnenkamm week after a visit there last Wednesday).

yes intention was to ski SJ on the Sunday and then ski ellmau monday and kitz tues or wednesday. really couldn't be bothered with the biz of the place during the race.

thanks, i just did and it's getting sorted.
