Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

any good skiing channels on youtube?

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi snowHead ,

Just wondering if anyone knows of any good channels on youtube with skiing tips to improve technique etc?

Have been browsing, but only managed to stumble across the odd video. Ideally looking for something with several episodes so I can work my way through them.

I'm no longer a novice, but as I'm off out on my first season, it will be the first time I have gone skiing without lessons, so was looking for something with drills and stuff to try and keep me on track with improving my technique etc.

Thanks

Smile

I'd have a look on Vimeo too. I prefer it now, mainly due to lack of adverts Smile

thanks everyone -

@shnoogly - stumbled across their channel last night - really good actually - lots of good drills and didn't baffle me with lots of science, thought these were brilliant!

@welshflyer - Love the freeskitv vids - maybe I'll be able to ski like that one day!

Not strictly youtube but matchstick productions' website tends to have trailers for all their films. Salomon free ski is easily the best I've come across though.

Oh go on then. Lots here. Some cr*p skier, some good skiers, some bleedin' excellent skiers. Almost all on the artificial slopes (plastic and indoor) but the fundamental technique is the same.

Hi,

I think I can help you I subscribe to a few channels on youtube and I can tell you they are extremely distracting when trying to study for a masters! Definitely salomon freeski is a good one but here are some others I enjoy:

Freeride World Tour
Skiing Addiction
FIS Alpine
Downdays TV
MSPFilms
DewTour

There are loads more just some that aare quite good. Some of these have snowboarding and skiing.
Enjoy!
