I have just got my new Salomon Ski Jacket. Saved about £80 on it so I thought I should spend this on some new ski trousers/salopettes. Plus they don't look that great with my new jacket (so the wife says).
I am looking for decent waterproof and breathability. I guess about 10k/10k. I would prefer black (wife said so) . If possible with braces attached or detachable.
Any recommendations and where to buy them from?
Mike.
p.s. Thanks as always.
p.p.s I could stretch to spend a few pounds more if needed.

Mike-H, I have recently seen decent ones in TK Maxx for less than half your budget, Helly Hansen and North face, plus all the usual budget stuff.

sarah, Tried local store but they have nothing decent.
Layne, Limited range with required waterproof etc.
gixxerniknik, Seen this site a few times, but not found any with spec at right price.

Mike-H, I have used Nevica ski trousers for two weeks away now. No real issues with them. 10k/10k spec. The only minor gripe would be that the braces rely on velcro for adjustment rather than buckles. The velcro does work well!

Mike-H, try Two Seasons on line maybe, they often have some good prices. Shame about TK, they had a fab pair of HH mens trews marked down with the yellow sticker to £22 today in one of my local branches.

Surfanic make excellent affordable gear IMO. They offer free returns anyway so nothing to lose.

igLou, I get the emails form Sport Pursuit but often find their deals are easily matched elsewhere.
Thanks for all the recommendations. I need them for the end of Feb ski weekend. 4 weeks, 5 days and a few hours until I am on that plane (tad excited) so I will get researching the sales.

Found a few pairs I like. I am a 34" waist in all clothes (jeans, suits etc.). Some shops say I need size M while others say I need size L.
What size ski pants do the fellas think I need to order?

I'm a 34 with 34 long legs. Unfortunately, nearly all manufacturers don't vary the length. The M/L/XL just alters the waist/volume. So I have an L which is just long enough. Would have preferred another couple of inches on them though. Assume you aren't particular hefty or made like a stick, I would expect an L. Pretty sure all my previous pants have been L aswell.

Layne, Turns out I am L too.
Went shopping at the weekend and tried on several pairs. Eventually decided on Salomon Brilliant Ski Pant at RRP £160ish. Ekosport with delivery and good exchange rate means I have paid about £90.
Note: Ekosport will show price in £ when you select UK delivery. When I went checkout with Paypal it was actually lower as the £ price is an estimate.
Fingers crossed they deliver for my trip to Avoriaz in 2 weeks
