Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Goggle Advice

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I have some Dragon Mace goggles that have seen me through a season and a few out-of season trips to the Tignes glacier, but are now starting to fog up.

I was considering getting a replacement reflective lens for them, but that's £60 and starting to be in the new goggle territory, so instead I think I'm looking for advice for what to replace them with. I know I want it to have spherical/optically correct lenses like the Mace's, and I'd need change from £80, but there seem to be some good deals out there. Any top tips on the best deals available at the moment? Perhaps there's a little known brand that you can really recommend?

My friend bought some Hoven goggles last year but I can only find them with 'normal' lenses in the UK. On their website they have some really good looking goggles but i can't find anywhere on t'interweb that seems to sell them!

Thanks for your help

Perhaps the anti-fog coating on the lenses has worn away so rather than new goggles, you might consider some anti-misting sprays, liquids or whatever. Also check any foam or mesh coverings to air holes on the goggles. One pair of mine worked fine until the mesh at the top broke allowing snow to enter.
