Poster: A snowHead
|
Hello again,
I've been looking for (and have searched the forum) for ski school recommendations in Chantemerle.
There are three advanced - beginner ladies and one beginner bloke, I'm going with them but not to ski school I'm just hoping I know where to ask the question!
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.
Chris.

Hillsie, I've used ESF in Chantemerle quite a bit with absolutely no issue (I learnt there with ESF too). Ask for Denis Lucas - excellent instructor and speaks fluent English (his wife is English and they run a catered chalet in Chantemerle). And if you like Champagne....that's a bonus - Denis is a wine merchant and gets some quite superb grande crus for astonishingly decent prices!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I cannot recommend Davina's place highly enough! They worked wonders with Mrs Slackal last year, so much so that she's going back for more this year. The perfect blend of fun and learning, all done very, very professionally. Very good people, especially Davina herself, Petit Paul and Christian.
They'll pick you up from Chantemerle, so no need to worry about where they're based. (Great espresso from the little caff while you're waiting too!)
Unlike Rick, I can't swing you a deal, I'm afraid. However, I gather that marmalade is the bribe du jour in Serre Che this season.....

Hillsie, well even if you only go for the Champagne, knock on the door of Les Marmottes - head towards Briancon from the main town centre for about 4 minutes and the place is on the left
