Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The new ski regs for 2012-13 are here

This is a major change to GS skis. The current Eurotest regs for GS are 21m radius (minimum) whilst FIS regs are 23m for ladies and 27m for Men. If the Eurotest ski regs do not change, is there likely to be a gap in the setting for Eurotest and other GS races?
Also, as time goes on, with no change to Eurotest ski regs, it will become increasing difficult to get GS skis with anything near a 21m radius.

The CURRENT ET regs are that you can have skis that have been valid for GS in the last 5 years; so eventually the 21m reg skis will drop off the valid list.

Where are you picking up this info from?
Philbo: I think you are quoting the 2010 ET requirements.
The current ET requirements seem to be that you need to be wearing a helmet and have a ski on each foot. No dimensions stipulated.

Where it stipulates "Turning Radius" (a made-up, untestable dimension. Presumably they meant "Sidecut Radius" which is a fixed dimension of the ski manufacture).

(Obviously ski that could only turn a minimum of 21m would be un-usable).

From discussions with various people including the head of the BASI coaching pathway.
I'd hope this will all get nailed down and documented formally as I now have my Level 2; I need to think about this a little harder. (and sell a kidney to pay for my Level 3 modules...).
