Every night for chf30 you have the chance to (almost) fulfill that Piste Basher fantasy:
Book your slot with the Verbier Piste Bashing team on +41 27 775 25 11
Be at Bar 1936 at 7.15PM suitably dressed and you get picked up for an evening of Pisting Fun.
I guess you just ride along and don't actually get to drive....but it sounds like something that has to be done at least once.

In Les Saisies you can do a 45 minute session being taught to drive a dammeuse. it's 90 euros. I'd thought about it last year, but there was not much snow to play with. This year looks like being more fun! Might give it a go. It's a lot of money, though.

An idea about driving a beastie in Tignes?
You know it makes sense.
It's my idea of the perfect job being a piste basher driver! It would be a bit knackering if you wanted to get some skiing in during the day though!! Another one would be flying the ski-planes that operate from that airstirp above Tignes - amazing runway!

This is really interesting! Some of the guests in Le Corbier over Christmas were keen to have a go, but Thierry (hotel manager) said that would not be possible as the locals use the night-time piste bashing to enhance their courting!! (Actually, that wasn't the word he used!!).

It was offered a couple of years ago when we were in Montgenevre, but I didn't spot it until we got home (and the TUI reps didn't mention it). I think the price wasn't great, but that was for a ride, rather than a lesson. Can't see it on the Montgenevre website now, so perhaps no longer offered?

We sent my father out in one in Sun Peaks in Canada 7yrs ago. He was not a skier an walked with 2 sticks this was the only way he was going on a piste! He loved it and the dog sled trip and the snow mobile.
