Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi
Off to Switzerland on Sunday with my son for a couple of days skiing, and we are staying in Churwalden. I know that they have a couple of beginners pistes (I am looking for a small beginners area so I can keep an eye on my son!) but I just wanted to know if that will be enough for two days, or if we will be better off in Lenzerheide? We don't need a lot of pistes - but one might not be enough for two days! I have to decide now so that I can book ski hire, and as only there for such a short time want to hire where I'll be skiing so don't lose time! I think Lenzerheide looks much bigger, but Churwalden apparently has some good beginners slopes, so having some problems deciding!
Thanks for your help

Churwalden is just at one end of the Lenzerheide which is famous of having two sides of the mountain not physically linked together.
Went there a few years ago when I ski St Moritz. It was a very windy day and parts of the resort were shut down so I didn't have much memory of it. For its proximity I would have thought Flims/Laax/Fadera would be a more balanced resort to go for. However if you are staying in Churwalden then it is logical to ski Lenzerheide. However it will be difficult for beginners as there are only two to 3 blue runs. Taking the bus to Fadail is the best bet as the beginners can ski in a much bigger terrain. Check the piste map when you get one from Churwalden.
