Hi,
I fancied learning to tele so I picked up some skis from ebay that came with Rottefella Cobra R4 bindings. My question is do these bindings come in a left foot and right foot version? I can't help but notice both bindings have a small "R" marked on them (seemingliy indicating right-hand side?), and the leash is on the right hand side of the binding on both bindings. Also, my left boot doesn't seem to sit properly in the binding, it's at a slight angle to the ski. Have I been done??

If you look at the binding there is like a ring to put the safetywire, it must be on the outside, and there is also only one size for R4 when R8 have 2 size, but look for the "ring" for safetywire, and you will know,,

Both leashes should be on the outside - so it's not sounding good.

Not sounding good. The toepieces are not symmetrical and the duckbills should align with them. Not an unknown problem with people who don't undertand telemark kit - at least one pair of the old tele rental skis at MK were mounted with 2 left bindings.

freeheelskier, It was a bonus an indoor snow slope had tele rental kit so I'd rather they screwed that up than not have them at all. They got rid of them as not enough people were interested.

Indeed it turns out I have a pair of skis mounted with 2 right bindings. They are brand new Rottefella Cobra R4's, I'll probably put a post in the for sale room if anyone wants to buy them for spares.

Doubt there will be anything formal but shouldn't stop a casual weekender if there's enough interest.

Seller has pleaded ignorance and in process of refunding. Once I find a replacement set of bindings I will be giving it a go!
