Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Time to head for some new carvers as my Volkls Supersport 6's are about done. These have been a great ski for me and I am sad to see them go but time for
a change I have loved these very stiff and exciting to ski the problem is I would like something thats just as capable. Any suggestions anyone?

Last year I tried the Nordica Dobermann Spitfire EDT XBI CT - far and away the best on-piste ski I've ever used...my current ski is the Volkl TigerShark, now 3 years old. It has a carbon plate which makes it torsionally very stiff - its like skiing on rails. But, after lots of chats with a ski instructor who is also a mate, I've decided on the Nordica Fire Arrow 74 EDT XBI CT, because it is an on-piste ski which will do off-piste pretty well, so it is more versatile. It also has that plate...

They are expensive, but so is a good car. Yee haaaa! I can't wait for that snow...

Online drool perspective only; untried in real-world; I have my eyes on some Volkl Bridge (later models not early ones are better so sayeth the t'Internet) in 187 (I hear they ski short) but I can't describe why I like them so much. They seem to be so in the middle (as you'd expect by the name) of each specialism that they just leap out at me. Itching to try them!

Edit: These look like fun too : http://www.youtube.com/user/FreeskierMagazine#p/u/33/poSRZxMu2RE

ibendzeeknees, I searched long and hard to find my Supersports plenty of research so I guess its time to start reading all those reviews. I would like an all round ski but as I have read alot of opinions I get the idea that its best to have a skis for both Puzzled

joshua, Two sets are better than one, find a good replacement for the vokl's , and look into a wider ski , in the 90+ range to use for the fresh snow, spring snow and slush and any off-piste forays , or try kastle mx 88 a true all rounder snowHead
