Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Not Fanatyk Co. When I went there they were arrogant pushy brusque oversold and tried to flog me what they had rather than find something that suited. Seemed completely disinterested in matching the boot to the skier (my wife). Other than that they were fine. Interestingly the hotel concierge who I later related my experience to confirmed that they had long since stopped sending their guests there.

Superfeet, do 50% off for BASI or professional licence on non weighted footbeds, something to do when it’s raining.

Cynic, Superfeet managed to do a quite spectacularly crap job for two friends in the same week.

SnowCovers and McCoos (George McKonkey). You'll need appointments for both. George only does two or three appointments a day.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Oh yes, I went into Surefoot too. It felt like one of those shops on Bond St, so quiet you could hear a pin drop, just waiting for that one customer of the day, whose purchase would pay the sales assistant's salary for the rest of the week.

I'll also declare a very poor experience at SureFoot.
