Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Boot fitting - South Wales and South West/Bristol

Crappy intermediate with sad mid life crisis seeks reasonably priced pair of boots for ski fun.

There appear to be several places which sell boots in South Wales and South West (Two Seasons, Snow and Rock, the place in Cardiff Bay what used to be in Barry) but are any of them good at fitting the things?

Got my current pair of snowboard boots from Ski Lodge (the place in Cardiff Bay what used to be in Barry.) No complaints, but nothing fancier than finding the right boot/size. None of this customisation malarkey....

From Bristol it's not that far to Bicester to be honest and well worth the trip IMHO!

I'll second the Bicester choice to see Colin at www.solutions4feet.co.uk IF you need a bribe for anyone there is also a designer discount village in Bicester as well.

S&R Bristol can be good if you get the right person there. This, I think, is the problem with big chain stores - variability.

My boots were bought from there and subsequently slightly modified by CEM en route to the fridge, but the basic fit was bang on. If you don't have odd feet they may well be fine.
