Poster: A snowHead
|
Mr HH and I like to take a lesson or two each season. This year we've got the choice of booking up for either Les Arcs (from Bourg St Maurice) or up in Meribel. Which would be better? Any recommedations for an instructor/ski school in either place?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I would recommend New Generation who operate in both Meribel and Les Arcs (Vallandry). As for location, well that really depends on when you're going and what you're looking for in terms of resort.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The only thing about New Generation is that they are reluctant to take clients from other areas of the domain - ie they need to be based in Peisey Vallandry, or can make their way there to begin lessons - from the horse's mouth (the name you gave me, Tigger)...

I had a wonderful week with SnowSystems, would recomend them to snowheads.
PG, eh? Wot you on about? NewGen operate in Meribel (and Courchevel and Val D), so what's the problem with homphomp, using them in Meribel? Do you mean that you can't start off taking lessons with NewGen in, say, Meribel and then switch for a day or so to finish off the lessons in Vallandry?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

What PG means is that New Gen in Vallandry won't start lessons in Arc 1800 or 1600. You either have to be based in Vallandry or ski to that village to start your lesson. As PG said, they are reluctant to take clients from other areas of the Les Arcs domain.

Manda,
I've booked lessons (private) with New Gen in Meribel but am staying in Mottaret - they wouldn't start the lessons in Mottaret. Not a problem though as it's a nice gentle warmup ski down the trout in the morning.
