A few friends got together in 2003 and, when skiing, decided to call themselves the GB Ski Team. Check out the site at: www.gbskiteam.co.uk
Its a bit of fun that now has over 40 members, small compared to Snowheads, i know, but give it a look. We like it!

The fact that the site has banner ads for Butlins gives you an idea of what it might be like to go on holiday with those people.

I apologise, Lizard, I didn't realise you had to be of a certain class to post in Snowheads! Does having a Butlins ad. mean that I am not good enough to post here??

Nice site Dougie. Looks like you're having a damn good time in the photos which is what snowsports are all about.
I would pay tribute somwhere on you site to the GB team. I supply gear to the GB telemark team and they work VERY hard to get where they are and to be able to claim they're in the GB team.

Hmm. Frames site supported to some extent with advertising revenue traceable back to Miva. Even the chat room has advertising on its entry page. So this may offend some. But this is not a professional site (try looking at it in Firefox). Look like a bunch of friends having fun. Good luck.

I think it shows a fair bit of business accumen to get advertising income for a new site. However, I think I'll be sticking to team Snowheads

Dougie, I'm finding it hard to read in Firefox - mainly the dark blue on blue advertising links within the text. Might be worth getting the link colours or background changed, or else having all the sponsors ads in one place instead fo interspersed in the text.
Check spelling of Mayhofen - and get that page written. I love Mayrhofen

I think it's clearly tongue in cheek, a bit of fun and unlikely to cause confusion. I mean, a quick visit to the home page and you'll quickly suss that this isn't the British Alpine Ski Team. However, SnowsportGB do have lawyers and as they also have the interests of commercial sponsors to be sensitive about, I wouldn't be at all surprised if an "or else" letter wasn't already in the pipe.
Good to see a bit of harmless fun going on. For the majority of the UK's 1.2 million skiers, this sums up the essence of a successful winter vacation. They don't care about which test-winning ski, in which length, with what base edge angle blah blah tranceiver, probe & shovel blah blah blah... they just wanna have fun and good luck to 'em.

There are some peachy ski bunnies in the photos, but the site name should be changed. It is confusing. Sounds too much like other official sites.
