Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

So when buying a pair of Oakley goggles how do you know what lenses to choose from? there seems to be a few to choose from. My son is after a new pair and has problems with his eyes, hes a welder and needs to protect from the rays whilst in work however this has still had an effect on him he therefor needs to protect from brightness, any ideas which ones could be best for him?

To protect from brightness, I'd say Black Iridium was the pick. Very good for most lights too, unless it gets really flat/dull. At that point, I go to Persimmon for the positive contrast.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Snowbird
, I agree with black iridium, but the persimmon can be really bright, even in flat light - may let too much light in for his eyes

Yep I'd definitely have to agree with black iridium for the days when it's bright out...
The following page shows which lenses let in different amounts of light, hopefully it'll help you make a decision!

Spiky, that chart includes the snow and non-snow variants. The snow Black Iridium is very different from the non-snow version. (Hello, my name is Carlos and I am an Oakley addict.
