Hi All,
this is a fuzzy unclear question - so sorry !
I'm hiring ski's and I'm not sure if I should get the intermediate skis, or the more advanced skis.
I'm a fairly rubbish skier (classic intermediate parallel turns), but will try any run, but can get into trouble on un-groomed blacks. I'm also quite unfit so I get tired by lunchtime and I;m a wreck towards the end of the day.
SO, should I stay with the intermediate ski's as they will be forgiving of mistakes ?
OR, should I go for the more technical ski's as they might force me to ski with better technique ?

Does anyone know how much of a difference there is in the performance & 'forgive-ability' of these two sets of skis ?
salomon enduro 750LX / dynastar outland 75 / head peak 74
and
salomon 24H / nomad blackeye 82 / head X shape MTX
Basically, Do I punt with the more advanced skis ? are they much more likely to cause grief when I'm knackered and skiing bandly at the end of the day ? It's quite hard to make much sense from the serching I've done on line.

I'd tend to go for what some would call an ez expert ski...higher ended models that tend to be somewhat forgiving. I'm not up on the specific skis, but you could try googling or looking over on Epicski as there tend to be more gearheads there.

I do like to try to go faster on easier ground, so one thing is getting good power though caring turns, which might be better with the more 'expert' skis but then again they will probably require better more precise technique .....
I'll have another go at searching the web to see if these 'better' ski's are still considered to be fairly forgiving.

fatgaz, any good shop will let you change skis anyway if you don't like them.
Personally, I'm a big fan of Antoinne Sports. Lovely owner who stocks skis he thinks are good - rather than just those the companies are pushing.
