Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Emailed POC in Sweden since I couldn't find a stockist with POCITO tiny VPD spine protectors for my wee-est one (6yrs and small) - they said - we'll get your nearest stockist to give you a call - you're in Cambridge, right?

Next day Tove calls.........from Chamonix. That's near then....

She packs it up, I pay by card and it arrives a few days later. Truly excellent piece of kit - the fact that it's a vest means no wrestling with straps and he can put it on by himself really easily. The 'intelligent' foam is very interesting - like potty putty (remember that?) ie press it slowly and it collapses. Bang it hard and it's VERY hard. Perfect properties for purpose. Strongly recommended. He likes wearing it ... comfortable, light, and stays in place. If you need armour for your kids, check the POC vests out. And the instructions say 'do not bend when cold' - so it IS just like potty putty.....

It is pretty cool. About 5 or 6 years ago, when it was still in R&D, the fencing community (as in the sport rather than garden boundary material) was looking at it - the current protective gear is made of hard plastic and is uncomfortable to wear when moving dynamically like you do during a bout (think ball boxes and breast plates).

I spotted the first ski/boarding beanies with it about two seasons ago.
