Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi guys,
This is my first post on this forum, so please go easy on me if I am asking a stupid question.
I have some Salomon SP4 bindings and have just bought a new Burton Canyon.
Upon getting home I noticed that the bindings have the 4 screws in a "retainer" in the baseplate so that you don't lose them on the piste. Then I remembered that Burton use the 3 screw triangle method.
Can anyone tell me if I have dropped a clanger, or is there away to make the 2 fit together?
Thanks
Dae

, this is an annoying problem caused by the fact that Burton are the only people to think that "3D" is better than "4x4".
However, all is not lost - but you will need to buy some adaptor disks for those bindings, to replace the disks that you currently have.
Have a look on internet shops for disks designed specifically for Salomon bindings (be careful if your bindings are not the current model, as manufacturers have been known to change the size or teeth pattern) - or speak to your local friendly snowboard shop
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

, Don't know if your Salomon bindings are different to mine but mine have 6 slots on the base plate allowing the screws to either go as a 4 or as a 3.

Thanks John - Just noticed that myself.
Just means that I can't fit the "ice protection" covers over the screws. At least I can stop panicing now
Can't wait to test my new setup this weekend. I'm just hoping that it doesn't feel too strange changing from my standard board to the new wider Canyon board.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I have a few pairs of adapter discs available. I have some that fit Burton, some that fit SP and some that fit Snowpro bindings. Let me know and I'll see if any of them fit some of the salomon bindings I have in stock.
