Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Can't beat Mayrhofen in Austria for a great NYE party, we we're there3 years ago and it rocked, parties every day of the week, look out for the Vorsilvestrie Party down the valley in Hippach, Austrian Xfactor winners and light show on the mountain, brilliant!!
You'll have loads of areas to ski including Hintertux glacier which is open 365 days a year.

I've spent every NYE for over 30 years in the Alps, from France through Switzerland, Italy, Austria and points east, never been disappointed yet. And always had excellent skiing. Scotland always had the best parties though!

Enjoy yourself, each place has it's own special way of celebrating the turn of the year.

Tignes - snow sure and a massive party on the snow front with world famous (evidently) djs and firework display for the 'Bells'.

The snow guarantee resort is definitely Zermatt in Switzerland. I run www.familyskiing.com organizing tailor-made holidays in that resort. The highest slopes are up to 3800m - Klien Matterhorn where summer skiing is organized.
However, the best conditions are in winter.
Hope it helps.

Best NYE we ever had was at Bad Hofgastein in Austria. Excellent snow, pretty village, live music in the square, fantastic fireworks. Only drawback was that the slopes were a bus ride and a gondola away.

I don't personally know about their New Year parties but St Anton, Austria has some of the best nightlife combined with seriously good skiing (extending to Zurs and Lech) and possibly the best off-piste in the Alps extending off the backs of various mountains.
