Is it just me or is anyone else dissapointed with the coverage of winters sports on the TV.
Is there anywhere I could find what coverage is available from all free to air channels, and if its sattelite what channels have the best winter sports coverage so I can sign up to the best channels.

beachbum, Welcome to Snowheads. If Alpine racing is your thing Eurosport has very good coverage of that. They cover all the men's and women's races live bar perhaps the very early ones. Most weekends through the main winter season they have several hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Maybe we should all be emailing BBC to get the extended coverage off the red button and onto a main channel then at least we could record it

Austrian television (ORF 1) covers all the World Cup alpine races, lots of ski jumping and also the Nordic events, langlauf and biathlon and combination.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

beachbum, can you not record stuff on the red button - I thought it had a channel number (maybe something like 301)?

beachbum, Yep just record channel 301 and that is currently red button coverage - it could be changing though with all the retuning we are having here this month.

Don't Channel4 sometimes cover some of the freestyle competitions at ridiculous times on a Sunday morning?

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

In that case you could always watch German Eurosport on satellite for free.
