Better skiing (more confidence) in poor visibility conditions, I can ski well in good visibility but I loose confidence in bad weather

To become a total ski God.
I am aware that there is a faint chance that I may not reach that goal this year.

To go steeper and deeper.

1) To ski for 60 days ...
2) To not injure myself or anyone else
3) To improve to standard where:-
a) I don't get 'butterflies' every time I get off a chair
b) To do some timed S/GS runs ... and beat a 4yo
c) Learn to do 'bumps'
d) Be genuinely confident on any pisted slope
e) To ski as well as I do in 'The Bar' or on here and
4) Conquer my fear of heights a bit more ( although I hate admitting I have a big problem!)

1. Go fast with minimal skid in GS courses
2. Learn to snowboard better
3. Fit my newly acquired skiing skills into everyday skiing (without having to concentrate on them!)

D G Orf, oh yes, I loathe flat light and fog. However, it's because I get sick when it happens - so I don't think anything can be done about it.

2. Loose weight
3. Have some lessons

David Murdoch, I thought I was being conservative ! I've only just started so it is a promise to myself to JFDI, I suspect that LCY, NCE , GVA and I will become better acquainted though as I still have to work and driving will not be an option.

It can be great - just head for the steeper stuff, cause not as many people will be there, and ski by feel, not sight. It can be almost zen-like!

I know it's unfair but I changed the post ! I mange to sleep 10 hrs a night in the mountains ( as opposed to 6 normally) - so much for altitude

Wear The Fox Hat, nope. I still get sick. It's a balance thing. When I can't see whether I'm moving or not, no matter what my feet tell my head I still get nauseous and have to head for a bar.
eEvans, a noble goal and I wish you every success in reaching it. I reckon that's an exceptional number of days to do and still hold down a permanent job.
Frosty the Snowman, no, decimal point in right place. 57 days on snow. Last year was slightly excessive, helped by a mid season job change. I'm not expecting to equal or better it this year I must add! As I've mentioned elsewhere I think we were very, very lucky to be able to do that and I deeply, deeply appreciated it.

2. Not to be affraid of steeps (sideslip expert!) Major falling out with well meaning Mr I when he tells me how to Ski ( I KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! )
3. Try my snowboard on real snow.
4. Maybe some off piste
5. Get to the EOSB

beanie1, that is probably a very sound idea. I haven't, although I tend simply to avoid skiing when it's absolutely zero vis and I can't stay in the trees. Thankfully I don't know many people who relish those conditions so I usually get away with it.
