Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Went down to Castleford Xscape today and found the slope was closed due to leaking pipes, apparently this is the first time this has happened in the 9 years its been open, I've already had to cancel 2 trips down there so far, will I ever get to use them before I get back to France in January? Or are they going to remain in their bag taunting me until then! Sad

Yes that was another typo from me, the skis (got it right this time!) are Salomon Enduro LX800 175's in a nice shade of red to match my ski jacket. At this rate I'll never get the chance to show them off to my snow boarder mates from work! rolling eyes

Looks like I've put my foot in it, as usual! rolling eyes

It wasn't the colour that really pulled me, it was the fact that they are the successor to the X-Wing series, a pair of which I used and loved when I was last in Banff. I'm really looking forward to skiing on them but if it's not before January, so be it. It'll just feel more special when I eventually do! snowHead

The only thing I'm not looking forward to is Geneva's baggage reclaim for skis, sounds like I may well be digging for them! Shocked
