Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The easiest way to book French train tickets online is with www.voyages-sncf.fr.

Type Paris into the Depart box and Bourg Sainte Maurice into the Arrivee box; add your dates and times. If you want to just get the best deals that month click the red "nouveaux" box. Use the drop down number box to enter the number of passengers. Then click on reservez at the bottom.

Once you've done that you'll get the list of arrival trains and prices. Select the one you want and click "validez cette aller", and then the list of returns will come up.

Happy planning!

10196986, It is worth mentioning that SNCF only sell tickets 3 months in advance. They will send you a message as soon as the dates you want go on sale if you register here http://www.voyages-sncf.com/weblogic/AlerteResa/notifier?rfrr=FAQ%3AAideTrain%3Aje-prepare-mon-voyage%3Aalerte-resa_body_Alerte%20R%C3%A9sa

You will get an idea of the train times, frequencies and costs if you look at journeys less than 3 months away on the SNCF website. The cheaper PREM tickets are available as soon as the tickets go on sale and sell out quickly for the popular times.

If you want to go with Eurostar from the UK direct they are currently on sale with rail europe.

There are a limited number of through trains from Paris to St Gervais (Le Fayet), on Saturday mornings. Otherwise, you have to change at Annecy.
