simonx, I've always had good service from Inghams, as well as Neilson.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

My son and his girlfriend went with Crystal to Pila this January and were quite happy with everything. Used Tripadvisor to suss out the hotel. Plus rep recommended a ski instructor for my son (it was the one she had lessons with) and he was more than happy with her recommendation. They didn't use any of the other services offered by the rep.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Try one of the smaller independent operators you will get more of a personal service and in my mind have a much better experience.
I could recommend a few and locations but that might just be considered as advertising

simonx, Silverski, they will let you know the age groups with the chalet, which we and friends have found useful with our children. Ski Amis if your looking to go independent, good value. Skiworld good value. We have used all of these more than once and not been disappointed, though Silverski would be our top choice, as your SE London presume Gatwick would be your first choice which is Silverski's only UK departure airport, the have also added a couple of extra chalets for this year.

simonx, I did two trips last season one with Ski France one with Crystal - crystal was excellent see here
Ski france less so, although their rep was very good when one of the crew broke themselves hard on day one...

simonx, given the half-term hike from an (I assume) British company, perhaps you'd do better going back to booking independently.
Where was that by the way?

Never had any problems with Inghams, service has always been good from start to finish, and the food, accommodation as described etc.

I'm pretty happy with Crystal. They have the big advantage for me of a choice of regional airport departures and plenty of single rooms. The smaller operators seem mostly focussed on chalets and flights from Gatwick, not what I'm looking for at all. But we all have different requirements.

thanks all - have emailed Silver Ski for some info. Our nearest airport (45m) is Gatwick.
Since we're looking at half-term cost is crucial.
Forget where those prices were from sorry - I think they were on the ifyouski site.
