truffaut, tht is really good news - that will be our last half term expedition so it's nice to know it could be one of the least crowded - and cheapest, as long as we book a French run apartment where the prices are aimed at French holidays. However a quick google shows our area haven't announced dates yet and e.g. Darlington and Nottingham have the 16th-23rd so no doubt we'll coincide with the French again - at least it's Zone B rather than Paris. Oh dear, just seen that neighbouring counties are planning on the later week so looks like we'll be dodging queues again

freeheelskier, unfortunately the necessity to have another pharmacist on duty when we go on holiday means we do have to think about it. Fortunately we don't need half-terms or school holidays, but nor do several of my colleagues.
My ski holiday location doesn't change much anyway, just the dates.
