When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Austria's Grugger planning to ski in World Cup again

Austria's Hans Grugger is training with the aim to take part in the next World Cup, only 4 months after his near-fatal downhill crash in Kitzbuehel. He has decided to continue his career after talking with his girlfriend and also with Austria men's head coach Mathias Berthold and speed coach Andreas Evers. However, he still has problems moving his left foot and with concentration, so wants to get completely fit first....Grugger hit his head during training and subsequently underwent a 5-hour emergency brain operation. He was then kept in an induced coma for 11 days.
