Anyone ever dined at the Belle Auberge in Deux Alpes? I suppose it could happen to anyone, but I could do without the kind of "hospitality" offered by the patron last night in a restaurant at the resort....
Personally I'm going to give this establishment a miss during the Pre-Season Bash!

PG, I notice you don't credit the source of that story. A similar story is used in virtually every COSHH training session I have attended (and thats quite a few). There is very old case law in the UK that is used to illustrate the point. The name of the case escapes me, (I should have sat at the front perhaps!). However, the moral remains the same NEVER decant chemicals into another container, least of all one that is used for a foodstuff!

boredsurfin, wasn't easiski! By a fluke this afternoon I was talking to someone else I know in the resort about accommodation in August (daughter has to do some technical tests up on the glacier) and it came up in the conversation. Then I got 'official confirmation'..

However many years ago I did have a waiter at the Hotel Eiger in Wengen pour a bowl of soup down my back (I was only 8 years old at the time) fortunately it wasn't very hot ! However I'm happy to report that standards there are much improved these days

PG, I've eaten there twice, and do know the owners, but it's not on my list of "recommended" restaurants. I'm afraid I think it's too expensive and too pretentious. In addition, when I wanted fondue savoyarde but without wiping the pan with garlic they refused (long time ago now). I ended up eating bread and cheese as there was nothing else on the menu I COULD eat!!!
ps: the "patron" is an ESF instructor!!!
