Passo Tonale and also Bormio, I imagine that is just over 2 hours.
Not many places, within 2 hours.

I've done Passo Tonale the last three years from Bergamo-just about exactly 2 hours.Good compact ski area, mostly blue and red and now well linked with Ponte de Legno which has more challenging tree-line skiing

foppolo is just over 1 hr away ,enough to ski for 3 or 4 days, some good deals at allthe hotels inc pass and transfer,i have been twice once at deux alpes food excellent, and the cristallo which is slopeside and a bit livelier ,check snow conditions they are usually pretty good ,if the bowl is open their are some great runs and a couple off really traditional bars which have great food and wine.also some links on ryanair site and more info on snowforecast site,i managed a long weekend for 175 pounds inc flights.good luck

dublin1,
I'll second Passo Tonale. Good value resort, great snow record, excellent, modern lift system, small glacier, link to Ponte di Legno for tree skiing, within easy reach of Madonna di Campiglo for a day trip. Been twice.

if you do the 2hr 50 to Bormio you might as well do the extra 50 min over the top to Livigno

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

i actually enjoyed my Bergamo-Livigno transfer
very scenic, and 3 hours of return was at night
so no real problem

You know it makes sense.

cockerhoop, I quite enjoyed it too - had far more tedious, shorter transfers that felt longer to be honest.
