Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi Snowheads,
I have completed a BASI level 2 Gap Course and hopefully will line up a Ski Instructor position for next winter season. I am now figuring out what to do with my summer, that complements Ski Instructing in the winter and hopefully save up a bit of money for next years kit / further training courses etc.
My degree is in computer science and previous jobs have been software development focused. Do any snowheads know about the possibility of IT jobs in the ski or mountain bike Industries?
I do realise that this is an extremely small niche, and as such the chances of something coming off are small. I just wanted to throw it out there to get a feel as to whether it is at all possible to apply my existing IT skill set to areas where I have hobbies that I am passionate about.
Thanks in advance,
Matt.

but more realistically, if you want to ski in winter, get an in-demand skillset that commands exorbitant day rates (SAP or the like) and go contracting from May through to November
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

or even more realistically set up a skiing related chat/dating website, get loads of really interesting, funny, knowledgable people to contribute for free and then sell ads and holidays - et voila! You are are the Zukerburg of the snow
