Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

hey,
im planning a season out in wanaka this summer (winter). Im thinking of heading out at the end of may-beginning of june, do you think there'll still be any jobs going then? Also, what kind of jobs would people recommend getting out there(mountain/bars/shops etc)? I'll also need to find some accomodation. Any ideas?
One other thing is if Im going to get myself an early bird pass for the mountain which resort would people recommend? I want to do a bit of everything - park and freeride/offpiste kind of stuff.
any info you guys can give would be much appreciated
Thanks

, Wanaka is awesome, I'll be heading down early June for the 3rd time!!!
As far as jobs go, it can be tricky sometimes - a lot of people turn up in May to get jobs, but saying that there's always stuff available. As long as you have a working holiday visa you're good
I work at Treble Cone, wicked mountain to ski - I think the applications are still open for food & bev etc.
Accommodation - you can get long term deals on backpackers or pick something up when you get there. It's a bit of a pain sometimes trying to organise renting from abroad - if you're there end of May-ish you'll get something good. My advice would be to bring some thermal pjs!
As for what pass to get, Cardrona is cheapest, has a great park but is full of kids/tourists and FLAT as a witch's tit. TC is great off piste/all mountain type stuff, but very little park features (but lots of natural stuff! Cliffs, rock rolls etc etc...) Snow park does exactly what it says on the tin.
See you down under!
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?
