Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi, I am after some opinions on ski's. I am a fairly new skier but improving steadily. I have just bought a set of Atomic M tech 90 boots which are the only boot I have found that fit me well.
I am now looking at some skis and would love some advice on the 2 sets I am interested in.
First a bit about me. I am 183cm tall and weigh 108kg Embarassed my boot size is 29.
I am not looking to go off piste at the moment or in the very near future and use blue runs mostly, however looking to progress.

I have been using 163cm ski's but thinking maybe I should use longer.

What are your views on this and which set of ski's would best suit me.

I'd say longer for your height and weight - 170+.

Atomic's are a bit more suited to cranking out carved turns on the piste, but the Nomad's will be a bit more flexible and give you a slightly more stable platform as you move up the ability level. Nomad's are very popular in general.

How do you like to ski?
