Poster: A snowHead

Thinking of booking in LP 1800 and wondering what it's like for ski in/ski out. From studying piste maps http://www.ski-jungle.com/piste-maps/pm-la-plagne.html it looks a bit restricted (surely not!) and seems to be tucked away in its own little valley. Are there giant queues for the (two) lifts in the morning - Lovatiere and Crete-cote?
Is it better to take the ski bus to Plagne Bellecote or Plagne Centre?
Thanks,
Arthur

I lived there an never had to queue for more than 5minutes and that was when there was only one lift up to Aime.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Craghopper, I've stayed there a couple of times too and have never had to queue for more than a minute or two - and like Nadenoodlee, that was when there was only one lift. Getting out either just before or after the ski schools depart should mean that you don't have to queue at all.

Rarely queues outside of ski school depart. 2 lifts to exit plus the buses one of which goes from 1800 round to Bellecote1800 also has a really good piste side restaurant, Le Chaperone Rouge there is another near the 1800 chairlift but we refer to it as the Slug In Lettuce, you may be able to guess why

The Lovatiere drag lift was removed. Crete Cote is a short black piste under the 1800 chair. There is the 1800 chairlift named 1800 going up towards Aime 2000 The Melezes chairlift which goes up to the Bergerie Chairlift and also connects with a short lift to go up to Plagne Centre.

Click on each lift type for details.
That piste map you linked to is certainly older than the 2010 date typed underneath it. I think it maybe 2008/9.

Craghopper, Yep an extra large bit of protein, sent back and then served again but this time with a spider hiding in the lettuce, real shame as it WAS a good restaurant
Wish I could say we were there on the 12th, unfortunately I have to wait for another school holiday, GCSE's get in the way again!
