andys9, well as far as I know:
1. Depends what you mean by the 'mountain dispute' - the average skier probably wouldn't notice any difference. The owners are being sued by the four fired members of the ski patrol but other patrollers are back to work. Delirium Dive is closed - poor snow cover or lack of experienced patrollers to make it safe?
2. Buses to Norquay and Lake Louise are picking up from most hotels as normal. Buses to Sunshine only depart from 3 stops.
3. Latest snow conditions here http://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?t=68904&start=40

Had a great few days there last week.
From Tuesday Feb 2nd the following busses were running:
Norquay - Picking up at all hotels on Banff Avenue and then onto the Fairmont before heading to the ski hill
Lake Louise - All hotels on Banff Avenue as normal
Sunshine - No pickups on Banff Avenue, but hotels that issue guests with a ROAM buss pass can use this pass to get to the top of Banff Ave and then walk to the Back of the Mount Hotel to catch the bus to the ski hill.
My personal view, Its wasnt so bad to get to Sunshine, but you did get herded around, when at Sunshine the staff were a waste of space, the sevice was poo-poo as was the food, Its gone downhill since 2009.
Also the only dispute still ongoing is the fact that Sunshine sacked 2 ski patrollers for giving a telling off to some out of bounds skiers in a closed area, they were frinds of the owners and they complained, so 2 key staff sacked and the rest did a one day walk out in protest, a few more got sakced/resigned and this means that some of the runs at Sunshine had to be closed because they dont have enough ski patrol staff to patrol the areas, they were event having to use LL ski patrol to help out.
I know its a bad thing to say, but hey, I though t Su8nshine service and staff attitude in the lodges was very poor as was the bus situation, the return busses dropped off in Banff just after a ROAM bus had gone down Banff avenue, leaving you with 2 options 1 wait 40mins till the next bus 2 walk back with all your ski kit.
I was perfectly happy skiing Norquay and LL and only did one day at Sunshine - that was more than enough!

I came back from a week on the 17th Feb. Norquay & Lake Louise buses stopped at my hotel (Red Carpet Inn), and it wasn't too long a walk into town for Mount Royal and the Sunshine Village bus one day. We'd waited for the Roam bus but it stopped for 0.3 seconds before whizzing off again. It seems that unless you walk in front of it and wave at the driver it won't hang around. I guess it's not obvious to the bus driver that some of the waiting skiers (mostly for ski coaches) might actually be walking forward to get the Roam bus. Either that or he ain't keen on skis being brought onto his bus.
I think the trick with Banff is to get a 6 out of 8 day pass (which you end up with even if you get the "buy 4 - get 6" offer) and stay for 10-14 days. That way you can try out Nakiska, Panorama, etc.
