Hi
Has anyone had any experience of a Ski Total airport transfer from GVA - Val d'Isere? Any idea if they like to keep the coaches waiting for lots of flights, do they use toll road and length of time it takes to val?
thanks

Moira from Ski Total here:
Like most companies we plan our flights to arrive within a specificed time and combine coaches to keep costs to a minimum. Therefore there should be minimal delay at Geneva provided flights arrive when expected. So far this season the worst case has been a wait of an hour from first flight in to coach leaving but that is not the norm.
We use the new toll road from Geneva to Annecy and then go round the lake as it is quicker than using the motorway via Chambery - especially on a Sunday. Takes about 2 3/4 hours but might be slightly more depending on how long people take at the comfort stop - noramlly around Moutiers.
Hope this helps.

Really? took us 2 3/4 hours to get to plagne 1800 a couple of saturdays ago (in a coach) and Val D'izzle is quite a bit further up the N90

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I went with Ski Total in Jan'11. Flew to Geneva and was transferring to Tignes. My flight was first in, but to be honest it felt like the wait for the transfer coach to leave was shorter than I've experienced with other tour operators. Reckon we waited no more than an hour and given that you can go and sit at the cafe at the airport I thought it was fine. Actual transfer couldn't have taken much more than 2 and a half hours, including a brief stop at Moutiers (I think). Traffic on the Sunday was definitely quieter than Saturday transfers.
It wouldn't put me off doing that transfer again

We were with Ski Esprit but as they are the same company as Ski total, we were sharing a coach with Ski total travellers, we were transferring from Chambery to Courchevel. because a flight was delayed they shuffled things around so we took some people to an extra stop but it meant our coach wasn't hanging around for ages.
