Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hello all. Heading out to Les Coches on Sunday, and just wondering if anyone is aware of any bars that might be showing the rugby on Sunday afternoon?

rainman, dunno about Les Coches but you'll definitely get it at the Last Resort bar in Montchavin. The bar is bang opposite the bubble. There is a bar in Les Coches, whose name escapes me, right at the bottom of the village.

I've given you complete duff info in the first post. The bar in Montchavin that DEFINITELY will have the rugby on is the Camp de base, the bar in Les Coches that MAY have the rugby on is the Last One Pub.

Guys I'm glad you cleared up the confusion because you're right the bar in Montchavin opposite the Yellow bubble is called Camp de Base run by Jean Marc.

The bar I think you are taking about is The Last One and it is in Les Coches!!!! The guy who runs it is called Phil and he is a big rugby fan. I'm not sure which game you are referring to. If it is not against France and France are playing someone else; Phil will I'm afraid have the France game on.

The worst thing you can do is go to Montchavin, get drunk, miss the bus and have to walk back up the hill Embarassed

For Montchavin lovers you'll be glad to hear there is now a nice bar in the centre of town. The Dos Rond has been updated and is being run by Tom (the crazy Dutch boy who looks like Woody Harrelson and used to preside over the Joker) and Charlotte (the New Zealand chalet girl who ran a Finlays chalet and hitched up with John Michel's son Benoit). So at last there is a decent bar in Montchavin.

If you need any other local knowledge Heather is a good bet but I'll be happy to oblige.
