Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

davidof, there was an American tagging along with us on the Col des Cristaux today who had some Plum bindings on his Black Crows - seemed pretty happy with them. Interesting to see a potential competitor to Dynafit coming along for 'mainstream touring' as opposed to super-light rando race kit.

Great videos davidof, thanks for making / posting them.

I noticed you called the bindings "Plum" like the fruit. I understood they want to be known as "Plum" comme Plume?

Shame about the weather Wink

There's the G3 Onyx (Dynafit binding with the weight of a Marker Duke Happy. Trab are working on some strange binding too but when I spoke with Trab in December "it wasn't ready yet". I think the "anglo saxon" market will be important for Felisaz/Plum.

ATK have a Dynafit compatible binding too, very very light with 3 toe release as well as heel release in 2 planes. Neither ATK nor Dynafit are TuV/DIN approved but I've never had any major issues with Dynafit release but I don't ski like a loony either.

How big were the black crows?

davidof, The Onyx always seemed like a strange mixture to me - certainly the weight of it puts it off my list for a 'pin-style' touring binding...

The Crows were fairly big (100ish underfoot by the looks of things) - not too savvy on their specific models.
