I know what you mean but I really like it. It will mean nothing to anyone who potters around at slow speeds but its very good to those who know. Its the same as steepness and cameras, fast cars and cameras, base jumping and cameras.
Great race though, especially if you have an early bib.

The slope at the bottom of the course regularly sheds its snow, it's pretty steep and the long grass there just tends to shed, also its south facing as well so Green slopes common there even when there's good snow everywhere else

If you are on Freeview, you only get one option.
The other options are only available on satellite.

Willow 15 - I agree about the helicopter shots, I think they add something a bit different when they're used now and again. It gave a fantastic idea of the crowds on the course too.

alex_heney, I only have Freeview and it worked fine on mine. Pressed red button which took me into a menu where I could choose skiing, snooker or sports news.

Suspect he didn't do it in one hit. Quite a bit of the run edited out and was able to speak to camera immediately after crossing the finish line - I reckon he'd have needed time to recover if he'd done it all in one go. Still the best bit of the whole prog though. More worrying... he was wearing Nevica!

I'd be interested to know how you manage that.
There is only one red button channel on Freeview (301).
IME it does sometimes show other options, but they are always just teletext.

alex_heney, there are two red button channels on our Freeview, 301 and 302. Sometimes the menus on the red button can go a bit wrong but you can always just go to the relevant channel. Maybe it varies by area?

Better not complain about the Eurosport EPG again then (Though they did cut away before the Kostelic interview, in English too)
Oh, and you can Shred all you like, but Ivica is just poetry in motion at the moment.
Shame Janyk didn't get a podium but in those sunglasses it's hard to feel sorry for him.

alex_heney, I have two channels for red button, 301 and 302 which are also listed in the EPG so I can record content via Freeview +. Channel 105 is also listed as BBC red button in the EPG but never seems to have any content.

They canned the 2nd and third to make room for HD.

Unless they have since managed to bring one back. Of so, then it certainly isn't available on relay transmitters.
And looking at the list of muxes/channels, the BBC Red button text services are on 105. The only BBC "interactive" channel I can find listed for Freeview is 301. (On the main transmitters but not on relays, there are also the non-BBC Topup TV ones which you have to pay for and Channel zero)

There does seem to be 45mins available on the iplayer which is strange. Have not tried it yet though so maybe the first 15mins is flipping snooker !
