Heading out to Valmorel on Friday for a boys week, given the grim forecast, we are prepared to drive and stay in another resort ... where would you head for the best chance of better conditions?

I doubt the Arlberg will be any good, the resort of Tirol has been pretty much ruined by the recent (and long-lasting) Foehn, and as far as I'm aware there's no significant snow forecasted. Apparantly Courmayeur was dumped on recently though.
