Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Millie10, today I went the other way around, had my first go on a dry slope (although it did have a fair bit of real snow on top!)
They are quite different, you might find you move a lot faster and smoother on real snow (and it'll be nicer to fall over on )
Agree that you should pre-book if you can to get the discount. Make sure you allow lots of time to get there, get your skis etc. No harm in being too early, you can always look around the shops. Better that then your time start ticking when you're still getting your boots on.
Have fun!

Millie10, Definitely pre-book. It could be busy as most kids are off school. If there is any problem with the slope/lifts which requires them to operate reduced capacity they will give priority to people who have pre-booked.

Well I survived and had a fantastic time! Only injury I came home with was blisters on my legs from the hire boots
I'm suprised they didn't ask me to leave following my first few runs! It's nothing like the dry slopes and I was so scared haha but after the first half hour I really enjoyed it, and yes, much softer to fall on!!!
Managed to fall 3 times. Two of those falls on trying to turn at the start and realizing turning with as much force as you do on the dry slopes results in almost 360 turns lol
Also had a look at the shops and have been eyeing up my first pair of ski boots!

Millie10, glad you enjoyed it!
Are you hooked enough on the real stuff to want to try some proper runs out?
Edit - I just saw your other posts about your holiday coming up!
