In the run-up to the ski season, British alpine champion skier Ed Drake is preparing for this winter’s race events, and his training programme in the Alps for the next Winter Olympics. Following his progress at Vancouver at the Games in February, Ed is now focusing on 2014.
Ed needs our help – and if you contribute, you’ll be in with the chance of winning a fabulous Scott Dunn ski holiday this winter. Not only is there a top prize of an entire 6-person chalet for one week worth £10,000, but this year there’s also a second prize ski holiday for two people. And with only 1000 tickets on sale, your odds of winning something amazing are increased! Tickets are just £20 each.

Away from the world of ski, we have all kinds of other offers and ideas for late-summer escapes, starting with our ‘hot and spicy’ feature below. The weather might be a little disappointing in the UK so far this August, but elsewhere there are many sun-filled adventures waiting to be had |

HellBent, In the T&C it does say he gets a percentage, but not what that percentage is. I think it's almost worth a punt anyway - a one in 1000 chance.

They have only had two days, so lets give them a little slack! I would be along the lines of The Voice of Reason, . I will and do give to charity but not when the guy on the bucket is on a percentage! Give directly, it is amazing how much gets lost in administration!

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I think such lotteries are governed by the Gambling Act 2005 and that the Act limits how much can be taken for "expenses". There also needs to be a licence. Scott Dunn should answer the question raised swiftly and accurately. If they are complying with the law they'll have the answer at their fingertips.

With 1st prize of 10K and 2nd about 3K based on average pp guide price, that leaves 7K + what ever profit they make normally off the chalets.
Don't forget there are two prizes, but yes, we are all eying up the 1st prize!
