Hi
I'm a 28 year old female intermediate skier, happy skiing any runs including black's when I try and push myself or leisurely greens and blues when I fancy a relaxing afternoon!
I usually ski with friends, but in recent seasons they have all been strapped for cash / holidays etc, so I'm looking to find a travel buddy of a ski group to join.
Don't mind where I ski as long as there is a good selection of runs and a decent apres ski scene!! Have been to Austria and France previously.
I'd be travelling from the South East.
I'm on holiday 18th Dec to 4th Jan so can go anytime in that period for any duration, although I would prefer not to be away on Christmas day!
I can also do a week in February or March dates / work dependent!
Let me know if you are a solo skier looking for a ski buddy or a group looking for a sociable extra!!

I'm headed solo to Chamonix late February/ early March....I'm a advanced skiier but I'm happy to ski with anyone who loves being in the mountains and is competent on skis. I'm 21 at Edinburgh University (male), let me know if you're interested

Thanks for getting back to me. I have a friend at work who is potentially looking to ski around that time with 3 other people (all in 20's). She hasn't booked anywhere yet so could potentially look to see about 6 person chalet etc. Have you booked anything yet or just flights?

MelanieKate, for early Feb have a look at the Birthday Bash. There aren't a lot of places left but it's a big friendly group of mixed abilities so you'll find people to go at your pace whatever mood you're in that day

Hi Melanie,
I am pretty much in the same situation as you. I am considering to book the accomodation with the french operator UCPA, since I heard it is a good option if you go as a solo traveller. I enjoy very much to travel solo and to meet other travellers. I am considering getting to the French Alps by car from Madrid (where I live). My plan would be to spend few days in Paris (visiting a friend) and heading to the mountains on the 19th of December more or less.
I have no special preferences about which ski resort to go to.. (any big one will do) I am letting you know all this, becouse if it is convenient to you, It would be nice to meet in Paris and going up to the Alps toguether. Let me know if you might be interested so we can try to define where to go.

If you are still looking we have a group of 9 gathering for w/c 19th March in La Plagne - there's a thread on page 1 - "Re: Skiing week of 19 March 2011"
- the chalet is booked, and there are some spare spaces .
