Can anyone suggest a 3 day route plan for skiing espace killy. We are going on the 6th dec with the ski and board camp. Last year we did the same 3 days and it felt like we skied for miles, but only covered about a 1/4 of the full area. We stayed mainly around Tignes and di sereveral runs several times.
Is there a way to cover the whole killy in 3 days or is that just a pipe dream? Does anyone have a strategy to cover as many miles as possible to try and ski every run in 3 days. I am an intermediate skier so won't be straight lining many runs.

One strategy you could try on one day is to try and hit the four corners of the piste map. I believe Mountain Sun are down in Tignes Les Brevieres? So that's one corner done. From there, make your way up from there past the Aguille Percee, over to Val Claret then up to the top of the Tignes glacier. Then ski back down to Val Claret, and make your way over to Le Fornet (bottom left of the piste map). From there, make your way up to the top of the Val glacier.
It'll likely be a longish day, but it'll certainly ensure you have a mission to see all parts of the mountain. And it may give you some better ideas of where you'd like to head to for the other two days. For a quicker return home from the Val glacier (if you're running out of time) you could ski down to Le Fornet and catch the bus back to the centre of Val, then get the Olympic gondola back up and over to Tignes before the lifts close.

as I read that I had an image of someone tearing down, cutting all the corners, to find that the lift closed 30 seconds before, then sitting down and lighting a cigar in a "Hamlet moment".

A couple of things will prevent some of this. Firstly a lot of the lower runs/lifts aren't likely to be open by then. Secondly because of the WC races over in Val there will be closures around there too. You can always bumble around with Jerry and me (we arrive the day after you) for a day if you wish, nothing as structured as trying to hit all the runs though.

Isn't a better strategy to choose the quietest part of the piste network (eg, no point in hitting all the rat runs; better to find some empty pistes to play on) and to make the most of the weather (eg, don't ski on the glacier if the weather's grim even if it's on your checklist you'd like to tick off; better to head low and find some trees)? If you try to charge around Espace Killy in just three days it's going to become a route march rather than the opportunity to savour your favourite parts of the domain.

+1 what Rob said and it really will depend on what's open.
The quietest part of EK is normally from Pont de Montet down to Le Fornet but this may not be open when you are there. If it is, the route back that Dav mentioned is good and you can always go down to Daille and catch a bus to Le Lac, if you do get caught out for time and don't make Thommeuses before it shuts. Or you can bet the bus from Le Fornet into VdI and then a bus to Le Lac and change for the bus to Les Boisses. Sounds a faff but it's not too bad.
Lunch at Solaise, on a sunny day, must be one of the best locations in the world and the Leissieures chair lift is quite an experience. The half pipe down Santons is also huge fun but you need to seriously go for it if you are to avoid a walk. It's just possible on a board so should be fine on skis.

Having done an entire week there, and skiing about 30% of the area despite making an effort to go places we'd not been before, your chance of doing the whole area in 3 days is pretty limited unless you are the fastest and most fit and able skiier on earth.
Just relax and enjoy it. Go somewhere different every day. You can never ski the same run twice on a 3 day trip, so try and do that, and you will enjoy it a lot more than trying to cover every inch of piste no matter what.

Great advice everyone. I always have this competative element that says I need to cover every run on the map everytime I go somewhere. Stupid bloke mentality, I know.
I like the idea of the four corners, but just depends if they are all open.
As for being the fastest and fittest skier.... Computer says NO.

4 Corners isn't hard if you set your mind too it. Queues won't be bad at that time of year so I'd say go for it.
Breviers > Grande Motte/Top of La Sache depending on where your 'corner' is (Grande Motte would be more fun) > Val Glacier > Le Fornet > Bus back into Val for the rush back home, over the ridge and leisurely ski down into Le Lac for beers, fastest down Trolles gets the first round in.
I've had many close shaves with nearly missing the Tommeuses lift back over to Tignes and having to bargin with the liftie, normally due to spending too much time at Folie Douce though..

Gave it a good go, but nowhere near did it. I think we did about half of the piste map and was shattered doing that.
Great fun though, and will be back next year to do the other half.
