Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The demo list

Been thinking (doesn't happen often) but to help people put together shortlists / demo lists for skis why don't we try and put together a few lists. We might even allow Salomon skis on the lists wink

Was thinking of the following simple categories to begin with

a) 100% Piste skis
b) 50 / 50 Piste / Off-Piste
c) 10 / 90 Piste / Off-Piste

Once we get the categories sorted out then perhaps we can start putting together the lists and leave them up as sticky threads.

To keep it consistant perhaps we need a ski review template.

What do people think about the idea?

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

You mean a template like the one I used for my review?...

Grip
Speed
Control
Fun

And then comments.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

DB, I think a good idea...

My thoughts on categories would be (off the cuff of course)

- Specialist (Race, Powder, essentially anything that is really only good at one thing)
- Piste (to me means 90% on, 10% off)
- Off Piste (90% off, 10% on)
- Horrible compromise (50% on-ish, 50% off-ish)
- Uncannily effective (e.g. the way the Sallie Xcream was when it first came out...)

I did like the Fox's review structure too.
