Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Does anyone know a shop that stocks carabiner (clip type watches) thinking it's a very useful xmas gift for keen skier. The makes I have found on google are; Colibri, Timex, Leatherman, Pedre, Smith and Wesson, Orvis, and Polaris. Obviously left it too late for internet shopping so keen to hear of retailers that people may have seen selling these type of watches.

, I bought a nurses watch and stuck it to my rucksack strap with duct tape. maybe Argos etc are worth looking at online and then buy in store.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I've no experience of this - the only time I've suck a watch on a rucsac has been hiking in the summer - but wouldn't battery life be a concern given that air temperature is likely to be pretty low if you are skiing?
That said, look in outdoors type shops, which may have them in the 'novelty' range.

I've just bought a nice Dakota one from
www.handyniknaks.co.uk
Previously I had a $5 one from roots in Canada. I find them really handy so that I don't have to take gloves off to look at the time.
Regards battery life my previous one lasted about 2yrs on a battery which seemed pretty reasonable. No idea about the new one but I'm more concerned to see how the mechanics hold up as its analogue.
PS I couldn't find one in
Ellis Brigham
Snow/rock etc hence used internet.
