Hi
Just had a 3 day trip to tignes cancelled due to Gatwick being closed.
Now thinking of doing 2 days ( sat/sun ), so looking for resorts closer to geneva.
Looks like some of grand montets will be open. Will les houches be open? Any others opening just for the weekend? Avoriaz/Flaine etc
Cheers
Matt

Why not just fly from another airport? Heathrow and Luton both open, budget operators running from both every day.
Easyjet flies from Luton to Grenoble, avoids the Geneva problem altogether.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

"the Geneva Problem"? Sounds like a bad Robert Ludlum novel.

Les Contamines opens this weekend. Hasn't been open yet and there has been 30-40cm fresh in last couple of days. Only the GM open in Chamonix and you'll have to fight for the lines lines there with the snow hungry locals.

marcellus, What is the latest is Les Carroz? I am due in the village Thurs 16th -Saturday 18th and presumed that I would need to drive to Flaine for the first two of those days. Is there a chance that LC will open early? Looks like there will be plenty of snow but not sure if they would open the lifts mid-week if there were insufficient customers.

Matt, Avoriaz & Lindarets only will be open for 4th & 5th. Then open full time from 11th. Part of Plenay due to open on 11th too along with Mont Chery.
4th & 5th at 15.50 euro's per day.
Les Gets are hedging their bets as they are behind due to the weather, working on the new bubble and chamossiere chair.
