Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Help on choosing first all mountain skis to buy?

I'm 5 ft 4" (or 163cm) and 8st/ 51kg/ 112 pounds. I'm an advanced intermediate, smash the blues and reds and gaining on blacks however really want to get better at off piste without sacrificing on piste. Living in the UK I get a week a year so have always taken what they gave me at the hire shop, but now I can afford to invest in my own kit.

Research suggests an all mountain ski but I don't know a lot about it, including the ideal length. I don't want to spend more than £300. Any help would be really appreciated.

What about the shortest Scott Mission at 168cm?
My 178cm ones definitely function as "All Mountain" despite being relatively narrow under-foot for off-piste (I am 177.8cm tall).

Ryannoah, maybe thse last years skis , still need binding so £370 approx , phone and see if they will do a deal as last years top sheet

phone them they may do a deal as they are last years ski, they have a few others on there webiste , I have bought a fair few pairs of Fischer Race skis from these guys.
