Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Christmas day is just like any other on the slopes (except for the santa hats and semi drunk girls in tinsle).

If you are in a chalet or hotel you will probably get a "gala dinner" on Christmas Eve rather than Christmas day. If you are self catering the big family meal for Europeans is Christmas Eve and, if there are more than 2 of you I would recommend booking a restaurant once you are there.

Ramma666, I think the apres is lively in Mayrhofen pretty much most of the time Very Happy

I haven't eaten out in the town because we were HB, but there is some info here that I wrote after a trip there. The forum search function will also throw up other useful stuff.

Have a great time snowHead

I posted some recommendations on eating places in town on this thread. However, I think the Kaiserbrundl has now closed.

We've been the past 2 years at Christmas, and will be there again this year. I think Wirtshaus Zum Griena is our favorite restaruant in town, though for Chirstmas Eve or Christmas Day you'd likely need reservations. Berggasthof Gschösswand and Schneekarhütte are my favorites for lunch.
